A Japanese car rental company on Ishigaki Island will refuse to rent vehicles to Taiwanese tourists. A Taiwanese tourist who arrived on Ishigaki Island by cruise ship rented a car for sightseeing but was involved in an accident that damaged the vehicle. Refusing to compensate, the tourist abandoned the car and left the scene. The Ishigaki Island car rental company issued an urgent notice on its official website stating, “We will consider no longer renting cars to Taiwanese people in the future!”

The airline also plans to deploy the 777-300ER from February 2015, featuring fully flat premium business class, a newly introduced premium economy class, and family sleeper seats in economy, providing enhanced services for business and leisure travelers between Taiwan and the U.S. East Coast.

The dengue fever outbreak in Tokyo, Japan, continues to worsen, with 55 people now known to have been infected. All the infected individuals reported having been bitten by mosquitoes in Yoyogi Park. On the 4th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government held an emergency press conference, announcing that dengue virus had been detected in mosquitoes captured in Yoyogi Park.
