No more layovers needed! China Airlines resumes direct flights to New York every Wednesday starting October 2

Starting October 2, China Airlines will resume non-stop Taipei–New York service, operating three flights per week on a Boeing 747-400, offering 70 business class seats and 319 economy class seats, accommodating a total of 389 passengers. The airline also plans to deploy the 777-300ER from February 2015, featuring fully flat premium business class, a newly introduced premium economy class, and family sleeper seats in economy, providing enhanced services for business and leisure travelers between Taiwan and the U.S. East Coast.

After the direct flight launch, China Airlines flight CI012 from Taipei to New York will depart from Taoyuan Airport at 17:30 every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, arriving at New York JFK Airport at 20:15. The return flight, CI011 from New York to Taipei, departs JFK at 22:30, stops over in Anchorage, and arrives at Taoyuan International Airport at 05:55 two days later, allowing convenient same-day connections to destinations across Southeast Asia and mainland China.

To celebrate the launch of the non-stop Taipei–New York route, China Airlines is offering early-bird discounted fares, starting from TWD 38,200 (excluding tax) for tickets issued before the end of September. Additionally, from February 2015, the airline will operate the Taipei–New York route with the new 777-300ER aircraft. The 777-300ER features 40 premium business class seats, 62 premium economy class seats, and 256 economy class seats, equipped with the latest Panasonic eX3 system and large screens, transforming long-haul flights into an exceptional travel experience.

China Airlines currently operates flights to North American destinations including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York (JFK), and Vancouver, providing over 20,000 weekly seats between Taiwan and North America. Starting with the 2014 winter schedule, the airline will also codeshare with Virgin America and WestJet, expanding its network across the U.S. and Canada and offering passengers more flight options and destinations.
