Leisure Farms, Happy Living
Under the guidance of the Council of Agriculture, the Taiwan Leisure Farm Association has specially collaborated with distinctive leisure farms across Taiwan. Combining ecology, landscapes, farm accommodations, dining, and agricultural activities, they launched the “Taiwan Leisure Agriculture Pavilion” at the 2012 Cross-Strait Taipei Travel Fair. With the concepts of local consumption and sustainable development, three major themed tours were planned: “Explore Taiwan’s Farms,” “Foodie Journeys,” and “Nature Adventures,” featuring a total of 69 tour packages.
The “Explore Taiwan’s Farms” package integrates nationwide leisure farm tour vouchers, emphasizing local life experiences and inviting the public to enjoy pastoral life and farm culture through independent travel. The activities cover a wide range of offerings, including food, clothing, accommodation, transportation, education, and entertainment, ensuring both fun for all ages and minimal financial burden. For the “Explore Taiwan’s Farms” series, participants can purchase a one-day leisure farm tour for just NT$499 (New Taiwan Dollars, the same below), with discounts of up to 38% off. Additionally, there are promotions such as “gifts for reaching spending thresholds,” “bonus gifts for larger purchases,” “buy 10 get 1 free,” “check-in gifts,” and “VIP membership recruitment.” The “Foodie Journeys” series offers a “two-person minimum, one person free” deal for those booking tours on specified departure dates. The “Nature Adventures” series includes a “five-person group, one person free” offer for one-day tours and a “fourth person gets NT$1,500 off” deal for two-day tours. Beyond these benefits, the Taiwan Leisure Agriculture Pavilion has also thoughtfully provided a “Travel Fair Shuttle Bus” service this year, offering free rides from Taipei City Hall MRT Station to the Taipei World Trade Center exhibition venue for four days starting October 26. At the exhibition site, activities such as “Farm Experience DIY,” “Taste of Pure Ingredients,” and “Farm Cooking Shows” allow visitors to both eat and play. Take advantage of the four-day fair to treat yourself to a deeply enriching and memorable journey, rediscovering the beauty of Taiwan’s countryside, nature, and cuisine.

Slow Food Living, Zero Burden
There are 275 leisure farms certified and approved by the Taiwan Leisure Farm Association, spread across the entire island. Beyond a happy and active lifestyle, “slow food” represents an alternative aesthetic of living. Modern life is often hectic and stressful, with irregular and unbalanced meals contributing to lifestyle-related illnesses, leading to the emergence of a more leisurely pace of eating. At leisure farms, you can not only personally pick organic fruits and vegetables and cook up the fresh flavors of nature, but also savor locally sourced ingredients—from home-style dishes, ethnic cuisines, indigenous meals, to international fare—offering a rich blend of Eastern and Western flavors.
Rural Ecology, An Intellectual Journey
Many leisure farms also offer numerous happy and active promotions, allowing visitors to experience diverse rural life and enhance their ecological knowledge. Hsinchu Green World Eco Farm has launched the “ECO Green World Ecological Exploration Tour – Autumn School Field Trip Special ‘Alpaca Meet & Greet’.” Teachers and students up to junior high school level (inclusive) visiting Green World for school trips before the end of November can exchange their tickets for a limited-edition alpaca commemorative fan. Hsinchu Shei-Pa Leisure Farm is offering a special deal during the travel fair period: a double room farm stay package with three meals for just NT$3,500, or NT$5,500 for four people. Yilan Toucheng Leisure Farm is also promoting a weekday coupon for a joyful one-day tour experience at NT$590 per person at the fair, and a rich two-day tour weekday coupon priced at NT$1,999 per person at the venue.
