Saw Professor Do’s study in Korea!? It’s actually Comma Café in Seoul

Coming to Cafe Comma 2 page (逗点咖啡 / 昔? ?谷 2 page) was purely accidental—I simply showed up at the wrong place when meeting a friend and stumbled upon this bookish haven.

I had arranged to meet a Korean friend at “Exit 3 of Hongik University Station.” When I reached Exit 3 and spotted this café, I was immediately drawn in by its massive book wall. As a wannabe literary youth, I find books to be such elegant and charming decorations. Without a second thought, I assumed this had to be the place.

I went in, ordered coffee, took tons of photos, and pretended to sip my drink elegantly... Even though all the books were in Korean—which I can’t read at all—I was completely immersed in the café’s literary vibe and totally forgot I was supposed to meet my friend... XDDD

After zoning out for about 20 minutes, my friend messaged me on Line saying they couldn’t find me. That’s when I realized I’d gone to the wrong place (>"<），但是我却非常开心旅途上遇到这个美丽的错误，下回来弘大，一定要专程来这里放空久一点，而且要记得自己带中文书来看。

This spot has also been featured in Korean dramas, though I’m not sure which one, and So Ji-sub has filmed here too!

%The Chinese name for Cafe Comma 2 page (昔? ?谷 2 page) is “Comma Café.” This is its second branch; the first is also in Hongdae, though I’m not exactly sure where. This Cafe Comma 2 page is located right next to Exit 3 of Hongdae Subway Station—you’ll see it as soon as you step out.

%Once you step inside the café, you’ll realize the main attraction is the bookshelves. It feels just like a library, and with a nearby university, it makes perfect sense.

%The reading corner is designed with students in mind, making it super photogenic—no doubt many students hang out here.

%There’s also a semi-private space with partitioned nooks.

%By the exit, there are some shelves with additional reading materials.

%The back area is quite spacious and well-lit, not too noisy, and the seats are very comfortable.

%This kind of space is my dream—I wish I had a study like this at home, where I could curl up with a book like I used to in the library.

%Many customers who came here also mentioned it’s a great spot for solo visits, reading, or quiet dates. It’s a really chill place.
