The Former Site of He Long's Command Headquarters is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

The Former Site of He Long's Command Headquarters is located at No. 165 Zigui Road, Nanchang City. The building is well-preserved, covering an area of 1,608.75 square meters.

The Former Site of He Long's Command Headquarters was originally the site of the Church of England in China, built in 1925. The main structure faces west and is situated eastward, with the front street-facing building being a traditional three-story Chinese-style structure; connected to the building are the auditorium and side rooms, all two stories high; the backyard features a two-story Western-style villa. The total floor area is 1,849.65 square meters.

In late July 1927, He Long led the 20th Army of the National Revolutionary Army to Nanchang and set up his command headquarters here. On July 31, He Long held a meeting with officers at the rank of regiment and above, issuing combat orders and assigning operational tasks. On August 1, He Long led his troops in the Nanchang Uprising. On August 6, he led his troops out of Nanchang. After that, the site continued to serve as the location of the Church of England.

On March 4, 1961, the State Council designated it as a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit. In 1977, the government relocated the units and residents within the site and handed the buildings over to the August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall for management and use. In 1982, the Ministry of Culture approved, via Document (82) No. 569, that He Long's Command Headquarters be recognized as one of the former sites of the "August 1st" Uprising Command.

The Former Site of He Long's Command Headquarters holds significant value for commemorating and promoting the August 1st Uprising and the life of Marshal He Long.

He Long (1896–1969) was a great proletarian revolutionary and military strategist, one of the founders and key leaders of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, and a Marshal of the People’s Republic of China. His original name was He Wenchang, and his courtesy name was Yunqing. He was from Sangzhi, Hunan. Over the course of more than half a century of revolutionary struggle, he made important contributions to China’s old democratic revolution, new democratic revolution, socialist revolution, and construction, achieving immortal feats.
