The former site of the Central Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Factory is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The former site of the Central Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Factory is located at No. 437 Beijing West Road, Jiangxi Normal University Community (Resident Committee), Pengjiaqiao Subdistrict, Donghu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. Built in 1935, it consists of the former factory building site, the former large shed workshop site, the former aircraft hangar site, and the former command tower site. The former factory building site faces south and has a steel-concrete frame structure, with a width of 31 meters, a depth of 36 meters, and an area of approximately 1,180 square meters. The former large shed workshop site is 29 meters wide and 43 meters deep, covering an area of 1,250 square meters. Since the 1950s, outdoor activities for teachers and students have been held here, and the “Red Square of Jiangxi Normal University” gets its name from the red concrete floor. The former aircraft hangar site faces east and was built in 1935, featuring a steel-concrete frame structure, with a width of 28 meters, a depth of 43 meters, and an area of 1,200 square meters. It was later converted into an auditorium, renovated several times, and is still in use today, hosting major school events. The former command tower site faces south, has a brick-concrete structure, four floors, plus a basement, measures 19 meters in width and 22 meters in depth, and covers an area of 300 square meters. During the Anti-Japanese War, the Sino-Italian Aircraft Repair Factory was repeatedly bombed by the Japanese. One heavy bomb landed on the flat roof of the northeast wing of the command tower, penetrating all four floors and reaching the basement, but the foundation of the tower remained intact. In February 1950, the tower was repaired and repurposed as an office building, which continues to be used today. It holds certain significance for the study and understanding of the development history of the aviation industry in the Republic of China period in our city.

In March 2018, it was announced as part of the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Jiangxi Province.

Pengjiaqiao Subdistrict: Located to the east of Donghu District. To the east, it borders Tangshan Town of Qing Shan District along Hongdu North Avenue and the western shore of Qingshan Lake; to the south, it borders Shanghai Road Subdistrict of Qing Shan District along Beijing West Road; to the west, it borders Dayuan Subdistrict and Dongjia Yao Subdistrict along the Beijing-Kowloon Railway (from Beijing West Road to Ganjiang Bridge); to the north, it borders the Fuyou Dyke of Ganjiang River.
