The Republican-era residential building at No. 57 Yuanming North Road is located at No. 57 Yuanming North Road, Zhuangyuanqiao Community, Baihuazhou Subdistrict, Donghu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, with coordinates of 28°40'52.7"N, 115°53'19.0"E and an elevation of 40 meters. It lies to the north of the Gan River, with East Lake, South Lake, and North Lake to the south, and borders the Fu River to the west. Built in the 1940s, it faces east and has a width of 6 meters and a depth of 10.8 meters, covering a floor area of 65 square meters. The two-story structure is built with a brick-and-wood frame, featuring gray brick exterior walls, a post-and-lintel construction style, and a gable-and-hip roof. It includes lighting windows on the upper level and holds certain significance for the study and understanding of residential architectural styles during the Republican period in our city.
