Former Site of the Guardhouse of the Provincial Government during the Republican Era

The former site of the guardhouse of the provincial government during the Republican Era is located at No. 51 Minxiang Community, Minxiang Subdistrict, Tengwangge Street, Donghu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is adjacent to Shengli Road Pedestrian Street to the east, Zugou Road to the west, Mindel Road to the south, and Houqiang Road to the north. To its north is the Donghu District Youth Palace, and the five-star Oriental Grand View Hotel lies to its east. Not far to the northwest is Tengwang Pavilion, the foremost of the Three Famous Towers South of the Yangtze River, while Zhangshui Well is situated to its northeast. Its geographic coordinates are 28°40'56.5"N, 115°52'50.7"E, with an elevation of approximately 37 meters.

Built in the 1920s, it is 4 meters wide, 6 meters deep, and covers an area of about 24 square meters. The two-story structure faces west, featuring brick-and-wood construction with an exterior of blue bricks, a post-and-lintel framework, and a flush-gable roof. It holds certain significance for the study and understanding of military architectural styles during the Republican Era in our city.
