Guanzai Ridge Hot Springs

The Guanzai Ridge Scenic Area is located in Baihe Township, Tainan County, and is famous for its hot springs, the phenomenon of fire and water emerging from the same source, Guanzai Ridge Park, Daxian Temple, and Biyun Temple. It is one of Tainan’s most popular scenic spots, and is ranked among the province’s four major hot spring resorts alongside Beitou, Yangmingshan, and Sihchikou.

The waters of Guanzai Ridge Hot Springs are very unique—dark gray in color, smooth to the touch, and rich in the smell of sulfur. They are meant only for bathing and are said to have notable therapeutic effects. Climbing up a steep stone staircase of 290 steps beside the hot springs parking area leads directly to Guanzai Ridge Park at the mountaintop, which is filled with lush trees and flowers, exuding a poetic ambiance. From the park, a walk of approximately 4.8 kilometers will take you to the highly renowned "Fire and Water Spring."
