To celebrate the centennial of Tainan Park this year, Tainan City has launched a series of "Tainan Park Centennial Celebration Events," featuring concerts, cultural performances, photography competitions, sketching contests, exhibitions of old and new photos, and international symposiums. The Tourism Bureau invited the public to join the celebration and specially collaborated with travel agencies and hotel operators to launch the "Tainan Park Centennial Celebration Special Offer." Additionally, the "Centennial? Moment" photography competition was held at Tainan Park. The "Centennial? Moment" photography competition at Tainan Park offered a total prize pool of NT$100,000, with one gold, one silver, and one bronze award, ten honorable mentions, and twenty merit awards. Entries were accepted starting May 1, and over the two-week submission period, a total of 1,641 works were received, making the competition highly competitive. After discussions and multiple rounds of judging by experts and scholars invited by the Tainan City Tourism Bureau on May 23, 33 works were selected from the many entries. The gold award went to "Radiant Glow" by Mr. Hsiao Pai-Hung from Tainan, while the bronze award was won by Mr. Chen Kuang-Hung from Taichung for his piece "Beauty of the Park - 2." The gold and bronze winners received NT$30,000 and NT$10,000 respectively, while the honorable mentions and merit winners received NT$2,000 and NT$1,000 each. The full list of winners will be announced on the Tainan Tourism website, the Tainan Park 100th Anniversary page, and the Tainan Tourism Facebook fan page.

One of the judges, Mr. Liu Yong-Tai, said, "The entries submitted to the Tainan Park photography competition were all excellent, showcasing the rebirth of this century-old park and presenting its fresh and vibrant energy, symbolizing the beginning of another century." Wang Chuan, a former commissioned editor of the renowned Taiwan photography forum Photographer's Handbook, remarked, "Although I graduated from Tainan's National Cheng Kung University and often passed by Tainan Park during my student days, it was through this photography competition that I discovered how diverse and beautiful Tainan Park truly is." Popular blogger Huang Da-Huang also shared, "I’ve visited Tainan Park many times before to photograph its flower festivals, but this photography competition allowed me to see the park’s unique features from different photographic perspectives. I hope these works can attract more friends to visit Tainan and explore the historical imprints of this century-old park within the city."
