Ready to embark on a visual and soul-stirring journey through Tainan?The photo book "Beautiful Tainan" published by the Tainan City Government features over 300 images taken by hundreds of photographers, offering the public a glimpse into Tainan’s scenery and local stories.

Wang Shisi, Director of the Tainan City Tourism Bureau, stated that "Beautiful Tainan" took a year to compile. From cultural heritage sites to city alleys, floral street landscapes to natural ecology, industrial characteristics to local snacks, and everyday life to moments of joy, the over 300 breathtaking works tell the stories of Tainan’s people, warmth, and narratives—many of which are sights, cultures, and experiences not commonly discovered. In particular, the photos of the "Tainan Incense Festival Year" capture a magnificent spectacle that only occurs once every three years and is not easily accessible.

To help both domestic and international audiences understand Tainan through photos, the Tainan City Tourism Bureau collected over 16,000 photos from central government agencies, local entities such as the Taijiang National Park Headquarters, the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Administration, the Siraya National Scenic Area Administration, as well as various governmental and private organizations. Based on Tainan’s landscape, culture, industry, humanity, and geography, they were categorized into five sections: Capturing Radiant Scenery, City Colors Brushed by Wind, Savoring Abundant Flavors, and Majestic Beautiful Landscapes. These compile the urban charm and highlights of Greater Tainan into the photo book "Beautiful Tainan."

"Beautiful Tainan" is now available for purchase at physical and online bookstores such as Eslite, Kingstone, Books.com.tw (Bokelai), and National Taiwan Bookstore...In addition, the Tourism Bureau has specially partnered with 7-Eleven to stock the book. The hardcover edition is priced at NT$600, and the paperback at NT$400. The Tainan City Tourism Bureau sincerely hopes that through the book "Beautiful Tainan," it can attract tourists to visit Tainan. Using the book as a medium, visitors can step into the beautiful scenes of Tainan and personally experience the charm and allure of the city through the lens of the photographers.
