To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Tainan Park this year, the Tainan City Government has organized a series of "Tainan Park Centennial Celebration Events," including concerts, cultural performances, photography contests, sketching competitions, exhibitions of old and new photos, and international seminars. The Tourism Bureau has invited the public to join the celebration and specially collaborated with travel agencies, hotel operators, and others to launch the "Tainan Park Centennial Celebration Special Package." Additionally, the "Tainan Park 100-Year 'Moment'" Photography Contest was held. During the submission period, the park and surrounding attractions attracted many photography enthusiasts and tourists every holiday, making this century-old park even livelier.

The "100-Year 'Moment'" Photography Contest at Tainan Park offered a total prize pool of NT$100,000, with one gold, one silver, and one bronze award, ten honorable mentions, and twenty merit awards. Entries were accepted starting May 1, and over the two-week submission window, a total of 1,641 works were received, making the competition highly competitive. After a public discussion and multiple rounds of judging by experts and scholars invited by the Tainan City Tourism Bureau on May 23, 33 works were selected from the many submissions. The gold award went to "Sunset Radiance" by Mr. Hsiao Pai-Hung from Tainan, while the bronze award was won by Mr. Chen Kuang-Hung from Taichung for his piece "Beauty of the Park - 2." The gold and bronze winners received NT$30,000 and NT$10,000 respectively, while the honorable mentions and merit winners received NT$2,000 and NT$1,000 each. The full list of winners will be announced on the Tainan Tourism Network, the Tainan Park 100th Anniversary Celebration page, and the Tainan Tourism Facebook fan page.

One of the judges, Mr. Liu Yong-Tai, said, "The entries submitted to the Tainan Park photography contest were all excellent, showcasing the rebirth of this century-old park and presenting its fresh, vibrant energy, symbolizing the start of another hundred years." Meanwhile, Mr. Wang Chuan, former editor-in-chief of the renowned Taiwanese photography forum Photographer's Notes, shared, "Although I graduated from Tainan’s National Cheng Kung University and often passed by Tainan Park during my student days, it was through this photography contest that I discovered how diverse and beautiful the park truly is." Popular blogger Huang Da-Huang also remarked, "I’ve visited Tainan Park several times before to photograph its flower festivals, but this photography contest allowed me to see the park’s unique features from different photographic perspectives. I hope these works can attract more friends to visit Tainan and explore the historical imprints of this century-old urban park."
