Which airline should you choose for your overseas trip? SKYTRAX, known as the Oscars of the aviation industry, held its 2017 Best Airlines Awards ceremony in Paris, France. The Middle Eastern carrier Qatar Airways took home the top prize, being named the World’s Best Airline for 2017. In second and third place were Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways, respectively. Taiwan’s EVA Air also made the list again, rising from 8th place last year to 6th. China’s Hainan Airlines was selected for the first time among Chinese carriers. Additionally, AirAsia was named the Best Low-Cost Airline.
