Zhangjiakou Wanlong Ski Resort is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Wanlong Ski Resort is located on Honghualiang in Chongli County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. It is China’s first open ski resort, covering an area of over 30 square kilometers, with the highest point at an altitude of 2110.3 meters and a vertical drop of 550 meters. It is 249 kilometers from Beijing and 50 kilometers from Zhangjiakou.

In the first phase of development, Wanlong Ski Resort built a total of five ski runs for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers, covering a total area of 200,000 square meters. These include the Golden Dragon Run (1,800m), Silver Dragon Run (2,000m), Jade Dragon Run (2,500m), Junior Dragon Run (550m), and Beginner Run (300m). The resort is equipped with 1,200 sets of the latest foreign carving skis, including 200 high-end sets from the Solomon brand. There are also three double chairlifts. From Canada and Japan, the resort imported 13 snowmaking machines, 2 snow groomers, 4 snowmobiles, and 50 snow discs. A large-scale snowmaking system has been introduced, complementing the abundant natural snowfall, making Wanlong Ski Resort one of the earliest ski resorts to open in Asia. The 2,600-square-meter ski equipment rental hall features an advanced electronic payment management system. The over 1,400-square-meter viewing dining area can accommodate more than 1,000 diners at once, providing you with convenient, fast, and comfortable service.

In 2003, Wanlong Ski Resort successfully hosted the "Third China·Chongli International Ski Festival," and in 2004, the fourth edition was again held at Wanlong. Meanwhile, ski teams from Japan and Korea, as well as the China·Solomon National Youth Ski Team, designated Wanlong Ski Resort as their official training base. Therefore, this year, Zhangjiakou Wanlong Sports Tourism Co., Ltd. has further increased investment to comprehensively upgrade all resort facilities.
