Adhering to the concept of making professional competitive sports more accessible and entertaining, this edition upgraded various segments including the market area merchandise sales, family and children’s interactive zones, on-site experiences, and performance interactions. Compared to2016the first edition in that year, this event attracted numerous families, with nearly300child participants onsite, reflecting the organizers' commitment to “mass participation” and lowering the barriers to outdoor activities.
The event site attracted nearly2000participants from cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Shenyang. In addition to professional trail runners, there were also outdoor enthusiasts, photography lovers, parents, and children. Notably, this edition introduced a family category in the trail run. Some participants even remarked that if their race performance wasn’t great, it was all the fault of the scenery—they couldn't help but stop to take photos. The course design incorporated dirt roads, gravel paths, grasslands, forest trails, and rural roads, offering a rich and rugged experience.
Unlike a single, tough competition, the Yijì Chongli Carnival allowed participants to enjoy a full range of fun beyond the race.
