On the morning of August 16, 2012, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Chongli · Ta Wu Four Seasons Cultural Tourism Resort project — a key provincial project in Hebei Province and a 20-billion-yuan investment by Beijing Ruiyi Group — was held with great ceremony. The site was bathed in blue skies, filled with melodious music, colorful banners fluttering in the wind, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and celebration... The groundbreaking ceremony was presided over by Li Li, County Chief of Chongli. Qi Hong, Chairman of Beijing Ruiyi Investment Co., Ltd., delivered the opening speech.
The Chongli · Ta Wu Four Seasons Cultural Tourism Resort project is a top priority under Beijing Ruiyi Group’s diversified development strategy. It is a world-class comprehensive cultural tourism platform centered around skiing, integrating large-scale cultural events, sports competitions, fashion sports, summer retreats, conferences and training, as well as leisure shopping. The planned area of the project spans 40 square kilometers, with a total construction area of approximately 2 million square meters and a total investment of about 20 billion yuan. The first phase will include the construction of municipal infrastructure, a ski resort, a core resort camp area featuring four to five-star international brand chain hotels, resort commercial facilities, and a sports park. To ensure successful operation, Ruiyi Group has commissioned the world-renowned mountain resort design firm ECOSIGN for planning and design. After studying renowned ski towns in North America and Europe, they have conducted specialized research on the management models of ski resorts and will engage world-class professional hotel and ski resort management companies for operations. It is estimated that the resort will attract nearly 5 million visitors annually after its official opening.

The completion and opening of the Chongli · Ta Wu Four Seasons Cultural Tourism Resort will not only create a super amusement park integrating skiing, leisure, entertainment, and culture for Beijing and surrounding areas, but will also lead China’s skiing industry into a new era of comprehensive upgrading. It is also reported that the first phase of the Chongli · Ta Wu Resort officially commenced on August 16, 2012, with road and municipal infrastructure construction to be completed within 2012. Supporting resort hotels are set to begin construction in mid-2013, with completion by the end of 2014. The ski resort and supporting hotels of the first phase are planned to begin trial operations by the end of 2014 and officially open during the 2015 Spring Festival holiday.
