I. Basic Information: Guangshan County Forest Park is located 4 kilometers southwest of the county town. It enjoys convenient transportation and a beautiful environment. In 2005, it was approved as a provincial-level forest park by the Provincial Forestry Department. It is a key construction project vigorously implemented by the Guangshan County Party Committee and County Government to improve people's livelihood and enhance the city’s image.

II. Project Construction Content and Scale: The planned area of the park is 2,200 mu, with planned sections including an ecological garden, commercial entertainment park, sports and games area, waterscape scenic area, living and business area, and service management area.

III. Project Construction Conditions: The project site currently has 200 mu of virgin forest and two osmanthus bamboo gardens totaling 300 mu; there is also 400 mu of usable natural river (including beaches) area, with 200 mu available for development. The Nanlong Road (from Nanda River to Longshan Reservoir) runs through the entire area. Water, electricity, and road supporting facilities are complete.

IV. Estimated Total Investment: The total investment is 25 million yuan.

The Provincial Forestry Department officially issued a document approving the upgrade of Guangshan Zishui Forest Park to a provincial-level forest park. This forest park is located 4 kilometers southwest of Guangshan County, Xinyang City, covering a total area of 146.7 hectares. It boasts a rich diversity of flora and fauna, as well as abundant scenic resources.

V. Overview:

The forest park is planned with an investment of 18.56 million yuan and has been laid out with seven major functional areas by the Planning and Design Institute of the Provincial Forestry Department. The implementation is scheduled to take place over five years, with the first phase covering a construction area of 1,200 mu. The park currently has 100 mu of virgin forest, 400 mu of natural bamboo forest, and 700 mu of artificial ecological forest. To date, cumulative investment has exceeded 8 million yuan, completing park planning, land acquisition, and netting for closure. Over 70 varieties of precious and ecological tree species, totaling 53,660 trees, have been planted, completing the greening of the 1,200-mu area. High and low voltage power lines totaling 1,000 meters have been installed, along with a dedicated transformer. The park entrance, management office, and other facilities have been built, solving production and domestic water supply issues. The 1.5-kilometer cement road from Guangnan Road to the park, as well as the gravel and colored brick paths for primary and secondary roads within the park, have also been completed.

Guangshan County is located in the southeastern part of Henan Province, bordering the Huai River to the north and the Dabie Mountains to the south. It lies at the junction of Hubei, Henan, and Anhui provinces, and is a nationally recognized revolutionary base county and a key county for poverty alleviation and development. With its verdant mountains, clear waters, and scenic attractions complementing each other, and a blend of cultural and natural landscapes, it enjoys the reputation of being “the Jiangnan of the North and the North of the Jiangnan.”
