CNN Ranks 2016 Emerging Travel Destinations: Taiwan Makes the List

CNN on the 23rd recommended 16 “emerging travel destinations for 2016” around the world, among which Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake, Fo Guang Shan, and Taipei were all listed. Other places such as Iceland, Mongolia, and Palau also made the cut.

CNN noted that Taiwan, originally named Formosa, is a beautiful island nation that boasts the majestic Fo Guang Shan, the culturally rich Sun Moon Lake with its indigenous heritage, and Taipei, known for its distinctive cuisine, tea, boutique shops, and night markets — all of which are well worth a visit by travelers from around the globe. CNN also specifically recommends visiting Taiwan during the cherry blossom season and Lunar New Year lantern festivals in February to April, as well as between September and November, which are also ideal times to explore the country.
