Okayama Prefecture in Japan holds a photography contest; winners to be announced on August 15

To promote local tourism and attract more Taiwanese visitors, Okayama Prefecture in Japan has specially organized a photography competition, inviting 10 talented photographers from Taiwan to plan itineraries, travel to Okayama, and capture photos. After evaluation, the top three winners whose works best showcase the charm of Okayama Prefecture will be announced on August 15. The governor of Okayama Prefecture, Takata Hirotaka, will come to Taiwan to present the awards at the event.

As a special feature of the Okayama photography contest, participants were asked to plan their travel itinerary from a Taiwanese perspective and visit for on-site shooting in late June via the direct flight between Taipei and Okayama, Japan. Through photography, they captured the scenic beauty of Okayama. The outstanding works and travel photo routes by the 10 photographers will be exhibited at the event venue and shared with attendees. To provide reference for travelers planning a trip to Okayama, the event also invited popular blogger Megumi to share insights into the unique tourism features of Okayama.

All those who attend the travel planning lecture and correctly answer the questions will receive white peaches and grapes airlifted from Okayama, Japan. They will also have a chance to win additional prizes through interactive games at the venue. Limited-edition Okayama souvenirs will also be given out on site.
