Okayama, Japan “Travel Photography Contest” – Enter the vote & win prizes

To promote local tourism and attract more Taiwanese visitors, Okayama Prefecture in Japan held its first-ever photography contest last year, inviting 10 talented photographers from Taiwan to plan an itinerary, visit Okayama, take photos, and share their experiences. This year (2016), the second edition of the contest is back. The top three winners whose works best capture the charm of Okayama Prefecture will be announced on August 8, and Okayama Governor Takata Hirotaka will personally come to Taiwan to present the awards at the event.

The special Okayama photography contest invited participants to plan travel itineraries from a Taiwanese perspective and to visit Okayama in Japan in late June to take photos, capturing the beauty of the prefecture through their lenses. The impressive works by the 10 talented photographers have been uploaded to the event website for public voting.

Those interested can visit the event page to cast their votes. By participating in the voting, you could win one of five great prizes: a cute Momotaro plush toy exclusive to Okayama, washi tape exclusive to Kurashiki, a Kurashiki canvas makeup bag, and limited-edition Okayama cup figurines. The voting period runs from now until 23:59 on July 22.
