The Altar of Wind, Cloud, Thunder, and Rain is a cultural relic protection unit of Gansu Province.

The Altar of Wind, Cloud, Thunder, and Rain is located in Jiapo Village, east of Wushan County, Tianshui City. It was built in the third year of the Chongning era during the Northern Song Dynasty (1104). The existing altar stands 13 meters high and covers an area of approximately 230 square meters, divided into three levels. The top level originally had four gates, with the main gate situated on the west side. The middle and lower levels are rammed earth platforms, with rammed earth layers varying in thickness from 0.08 to 0.12 meters. A ramp leading up to the altar is located on the south side, and turning westward allows access to the top level. Research has confirmed that the Altar of Wind, Cloud, Thunder, and Rain was a necessary urban structure built when establishing ancient cities, intended to pray for national peace, prosperity, and favorable weather conditions. It holds significant historical and cultural value.

Protection boundary: Extending 2 meters outward to the east, south, west, and north from the base edge of the altar structure.
