Taoyuan Airport MRT now operational！ Limited 2-day free samurai armor experience, air-flown directly from Japan

The Taoyuan Airport MRT officially began operations on March 2, making travel between the airport and downtown Taipei more convenient for both domestic and international visitors. The Wakayama Prefecture Tourism Bureau, Nankai Electric Railway, and Kuwazuka Town seized the opportunity of the MRT's launch and the popularity of the 2017 Japanese historical drama "Sanada Maru" in Taiwan to hold a Wakayama tourism promotion event at Taipei Main Station. In addition to providing travel information, they also brought samurai armor from Kuwazuka Town, allowing visitors to try on samurai outfits and take photos with Japanese ninjas from now until the 5th.

The Wakayama tourism promotion event is located in a corner of the Bamboo Grove and Flowing Water pedestrian corridor at Taipei Main Station of the Taoyuan Airport MRT. In line with the currently popular Taiwanese historical drama "Sanada Maru," the main visual theme is the fiery red color representative of Sanada Nobushige, while samurai armor—including helmets and katanas—has been specially brought over from Kuwazuka, Japan, for visitors to try on and take photos in.

The historical drama "Sanada Maru" centers around the dramatic life of the famous samurai Sanada Nobushige (also known as Sanada Yukimura), and is currently airing in Taiwan.
