Dapingtou Site

The Dapingtou Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Gansu Province.

The Dapingtou Site is located on a second-level terrace at the confluence of the Wei River and the Luban River in Pingyuan Village, Wushan County, standing 20–50 meters above the river level. The site covers an area of approximately 100,000 square meters. Exposed remains include ash layers, ash pits, and lime-plastered floors. The ash layers are 1–2 meters thick, and unearthed artifacts include stone axes, stone knives, stone adzes, fine clay red pottery shards, painted pottery shards, coarse sand-tempered red pottery shards, and single (or double) handled pottery jars.
