Tiger Claw Mountain Forest Park

The predecessor of the Tiger Claw Mountain Forest Park in Jingshan County, Hubei Province, the Tiger Claw Mountain Forest Farm, was established in 1965. In November 1994, the Tiger Claw Mountain Provincial Forest Park was officially opened to the public. In recent years, the forest park has invested over 8 million yuan to develop 16 scenic spots across three major areas—Tiger Claw Mountain, Zhujia Chong, and Liyu Dam—as well as supporting facilities such as cultural and recreational venues, hotels, restaurants, water, electricity, roads, and postal services. Located on the northern edge of the Jianghan Plain and adjacent to Provincial Highway Zao-Dang, the park serves as an outer area of the national-level Dabie Mountain Scenic Area. It lies 28 kilometers east of the county seat and 178 kilometers from Wuhan. The park boasts abundant tourism resources, including vast forests, serene mountains, expansive waters, and a rich historical and cultural heritage that is widely celebrated. Highlights include its sea of pine trees, thousands of acres of fir and bamboo, ten miles of ginkgo trees, five ridges of oak forests, and three hillsides covered in red foliage. The scenery varies beautifully with the seasons—spring flowers, summer shade, autumn leaves, and winter branches all offer unique views at different times of day. The park also features cascading waterfalls, peculiar rocks, mysterious caves, and flowing springs, all exuding a magical charm. As a result, Tiger Claw Mountain Forest Park is known as the “Little Lushan Mountain of Hubei” and a natural oxygen bar. The lingering snow patches on Tiger Claw Mountain, listed among the ancient Eight Scenic Spots of Jingshan, often remain until early summer, keeping the area cool even in summer and creating a distinctive microclimate. It is an ideal destination for vacationing, leisure, and escaping the heat, offering convenient, safe, and comfortable high-quality services for group meetings, inspection tours, sightseeing, and recreational activities.
