Dongjiacheng Site

Dongjiacheng Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

Dongjiacheng Site is located in Dongjiacheng Village, Songhe Town, Jingshan County. The site sits on the north bank of the Daoliu River, surrounded by hilly terrain, and has an oval layout, approximately 150 meters long from north to south and 105 meters wide from east to west. The city wall remnants stand about 5 meters high and are 3–4 meters wide, with a total circumference of 650 meters. There is a gap on each of the southeast and west sides, each about 1.5 meters wide, likely remnants of city gates. Outside the city wall, there are remnants of a moat, 6–8 meters wide and 0.5–0.65 meters deep. Pottery shards collected within the site area are mainly made of clay red pottery and sandy red pottery, with a small amount of sandy gray pottery; decorative patterns include cord marks and string patterns, and identifiable vessel shapes include tripods and jars. This site is the first Shang and Zhou period city site discovered within Jingmen City.
