The Tianrui Giant Buddha Cultural Tourism Area is located in Lushan County, Henan Province, situated in the prime ecological tourism zone of the Funiu Mountains and home to one of China’s finest volcanic hot spring belts. It is directly accessible via the Zhengzhou–Shirenshan Expressway and is surrounded by major national expressways such as the Beijing–Zhuhai and Lianyungang–Khorgas routes, giving it a highly strategic location. It is a key internationally supported boutique tourist attraction prioritized by Henan Province.

The Tianrui Giant Buddha Cultural Tourism Area spans a planned area of 13.40 square kilometers, making it the only provincial-level planned and evaluated tourism project in Henan Province. After ten years of construction and with cumulative investments exceeding 1.2 billion RMB, it integrates Buddhist culture, hot spring wellness, sightseeing, and leisure entertainment. The area boasts a rich blend of cultural and natural landscapes, as well as the fusion of Buddhist heritage with modern civilization. The cultural zone mainly consists of the thousand-year-old Foguansi Temple, Yuanxin Platform, Buddha-Worshipping Avenue, Buddhist Worship Platform, the world’s largest Buddha statue—the Tianrui Giant Buddha, the world’s largest bronze bell—the Tianrui Bell—and its bell tower, along with supporting facilities such as high-end hot spring resorts.

The main structures within the cultural zone were meticulously designed by experts from both China and abroad. The Buddha-Worshipping Avenue and Buddhist Worship Platform are also record-breaking features in their respective categories.
