Yaoshan Ski Resort (Yaoshan Ski Field) is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Yaoshan Ski Resort is located at the northern foot of Yaoshan Mountain in Lushan County, Pingdingshan City, adjacent to the Giant Buddha of Central Plains, Yaoshan Mountain, Huamei Valley, Muzhaling, and the Lushan Hot Spring clusters of Upper, Middle, and Lower Tang.

Yaoshan Ski Resort boasts convenient transportation, with the ski field located right next to National Highway 311, 18 kilometers from the Zheng-Yao Expressway exit and 190 kilometers from Zhengzhou, making it currently the most accessible alpine ski resort in the province.

Covering a total area of 200,000 square meters, the ski resort includes a 50,000-square-meter skiing area and a 3,000-square-meter ski equipment hall. The first phase of the resort features one training slope, one beginner slope, one intermediate slope, and one advanced slope, as well as three ski lifts. The slopes are 100 meters wide and 580 meters long, with a maximum gradient of 18 degrees and a minimum of 5 degrees. The resort has introduced internationally advanced snow-making and snow-grooming equipment, along with brand-new supporting facilities. It also includes a snow tubing zone and a dedicated children’s skiing area, offering a comprehensive experience for enjoying, playing, and entertaining in the snow.

Yaoshan Ski Resort forms an excellent winter tourism route together with Lushan’s hot spring wellness, the blessings at the Giant Buddha of Central Plains, and snow appreciation on Yaoshan Mountain. Transportation

1. By car: Starting from various locations, get onto the Zheng-Yao Expressway, then exit at Yaoshan Station, which is at the 182-kilometer mark of the expressway. After exiting, drive straight along National Highway 311 toward Yaoshan Town for about 8 kilometers to reach Yaoshan Town. Then continue along National Highway 311 toward Luanchuan for another 14 kilometers to arrive at the main gate of Yaoshan Ski Resort. The route from Yaoshan Town to the ski resort passes by the entrance of Huamei Valley Scenic Area.

2. Take a train or bus to Pingdingshan City or Lushan County first, then transfer to a bus heading toward Luanchuan. The buses from Pingdingshan or Lushan to Luanchuan pass directly by the main gate of Yaoshan Ski Resort, offering great convenience.
