The Former Site of the Provisional Public Security Committee of Queshan County is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province, and a patriotic education base.

The Former Site of the Provisional Public Security Committee of Queshan County is situated on the eastern section of Jianshe Street, Panlong Subdistrict, Queshan County, covering an area of 1,200 square meters. It faces south with a north orientation and has three courtyards. The buildings are constructed with blue bricks and gray tiles, featuring flush gable roofs in the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The first courtyard is a two-story building that combines northern and southern architectural elements, with a width of three bays. The stairwell on the east side and the central bay have a small door leading to the rear courtyard; the second courtyard features a building with double-beam construction and blue bricks with gray tiles; the third courtyard includes a building with Western-style characteristics, along with eighteen east and west wing rooms and one well. The entire compound is intact, measuring 13.6 meters in width from east to west and 88.5 meters in length from north to south, with a total area of over 100,000 square meters and a total of 43 rooms. In September 2000, the site was designated as part of the third batch of key cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Henan Province.

On April 5, 1927, in anticipation of the arrival of the Northern Expeditionary Army and under the leadership of the Henan Provincial Committee and the Zhumadian Special Branch, Yang Jingyu (Ma Shangde), Zhang Jiaduo, Li Mingqi, Zhang Yaochang, and others led tens of thousands of peasants in Queshan County in a sensational uprising. They seized county governance and established the Queshan County Provisional Public Security Committee, a county-level Soviet peasant-worker government under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, on April 24, 1927. Yang Jingyu (Ma Shangde) was democratically elected as the chairman of the Provisional Public Security Committee, exercising the authority of the county magistrate.

The Provisional Public Security Committee of Queshan County was the first county-level revolutionary government established under the leadership of the Communist Party during the First Revolutionary Civil War in China and holds an important place in the history of the Chinese revolution. The site is well-preserved today and serves as a base for patriotic and revolutionary tradition education.

The Former Site of the Provisional Public Security Committee of Queshan County hosts exhibitions such as "Ancient History of Queshan," "Modern History of Queshan," and "The Life of General Yang Jingyu." It is recognized as a patriotic education base of Henan Province, a moral education base for primary and secondary schools in Henan Province, and a national AAA-level tourist attraction.
