The Platform of Generosity and Righteousness

The Platform of Generosity and Righteousness is also known as the Plunder Distribution Platform. At the summit of Haoshan Peak, nestled among lush pines and cypresses, lies a massive natural rock. At its top sits a yuanbao (ingot)-shaped stone, surrounded by 36 stone stools. It is said that this was the legendary Platform of Generosity and Righteousness where the heroes of Liangshan "divided gold and silver with great fairness and donned silk and cotton in unique styles."

The Ming Dynasty poet Liu Ji wrote in his poem “Liangshanpo · Plunder Distribution Platform”: “A towering platform piled up from earth, / Said to be where robbers divided their spoils. / Now rare are those with the clear virtue of drinking spring water, / Why should Liangshan alone claim such fame?”

The three characters “疏财台” (“Platform of Generosity”) were written by contemporary calligrapher Chen Tianran.
