Liangshanpo Ruins (Liangshan Stronghold)

Liangshanpo Ruins (Liangshan Stronghold) is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Liangshanpo Ruins Wetland is located in the western part of Maying Township, Liangshan County, and is the only remaining site of the ancient Liangshanpo Lake.

The Liangshanpo Ruins are located in the western part of Maying Township, Liangshan County, and are the only remaining site of the ancient Liangshanpo Lake. The total area is 4,250 mu, including 2,750 mu of water surface, 1,200 mu of seepage zone, and 300 mu of inlet and outlet areas.

In 1956, a 21.8-meter-long wooden warship from the Song Dynasty, along with weapons, horse tack, coins, and other artifacts, was unearthed in this water area. The ship is massive and well-preserved, and is now on display at the Shandong Provincial Museum, where it is listed as a key cultural relic of the province.

In 2009, it was approved as a provincial-level wetland park by the Shandong Provincial Forestry Bureau.

On October 18, 2010, Liangshan County held a naming ceremony for the Liangshanpo Ruins at the Shuipo Wetland in Maying Town.

On November 11, 2010, the Liangshanpo Ruins Wetland Tourism Co., Ltd. was established.
