On June 23, 2015, the Ancestral Hall of the Ma Family in Houji was designated as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Shuipo Subdistrict: Located in the eastern part of the county seat, Shuipo Subdistrict lies at the junction of scenic areas and urban-rural integration zones. It is the site of Liangshan’s new urban district, covering an area of 31.67 square kilometers. It governs 14 village committees and 4 residential committees, with 11,818 households, a population of 39,375, and arable land of 22,113 mu. The urban population is 41,000.

The gross domestic product is 2.568 billion yuan, with the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries contributing 1.62 billion yuan, 290 million yuan, and 658 million yuan respectively.
