Wuhu East Lake Park

Located between the urban area of Wuhu County and the Wuhu Machinery Industry Development Zone, East Lake Park covers a total area of 200 hectares. Bordered by the central area on three sides, it is an open park offering both water and land activities. The park has its own distinctive layout, featuring willows lining the shores and picturesque landscapes of green hills and clear waters.

With 70 hectares of land and 80 hectares of water, East Lake offers activities such as boating, fishing, and swimming. The park is designed to shape scenery according to the terrain. A sightseeing tower stands atop the hill in the northeast, while high- and mid-end residential areas are built at the foot of the hill. Artificial islands are created in the lake, featuring a zoo, fish viewing garden, botanical garden, bonsai garden, lotus pond, children’s play center, and pavilions, terraces, towers, gazebos, bridges, and water corridors that connect the entire water system. It serves as an ideal leisure spot for 200,000 residents in the surrounding areas.

Inside the park stands the Panlong Temple, originally built during the Song Dynasty under the name Yunyin An. Once a thriving place of worship, it was destroyed in wartime before being rebuilt and relocated to East Lake Park.
