Don't worry if you missed the Penghu Fireworks Festival – the "Penghu Island Carnival" takes over from August, with fireworks displays all the way to the end of the year ! The first fireworks show of the Penghu Island Carnival was held on August 6th at Jibei Islet ! Fireworks can be seen in Wangan , Qimei , Siyu , Huxi , and Guanyin Pavilion in Magong too !
We’ve also specially compiled a 2018 list of popular photo spots in Penghu — a must-save for your trip !

■ Event Times : Guanyin Pavilion starts at 8:00 PM ; Siyu , Huxi , and Baisha Houliao start at 7:00 PM ; outlying islands start at 6:30 PM
■ Fireworks Times : Guanyin Pavilion at 9:00 PM ; Siyu , Huxi , and Baisha Houliao at 8:00 PM ; outlying islands at 7:30 PM

One of the hottest recent attractions in Penghu is Heaven’s Path ! It’s a seawall that extends from the beach into the sea . At low tide , you can walk to the very end of Heaven’s Path and take photos of the stunning blue seascape meeting the sky ahead ; turning back gives you a full view of the sandy shore . Be aware that the path is only wide enough for one person , and during high tide , waves can make the seawall slippery , with a risk of falling into the sea .

Another recently popular Instagrammable spot in Penghu is the abandoned site known as Bagua Dao , featuring a hollow design and unique hexagonal shapes facing the sea – making it a fantastic photo location . Originally built for aquaculture farming , construction of Bagua Dao stopped before completion , leaving it as a ruin .

One of the romantic sunset spots in Penghu : Xiaochi Corner Double-Arch Bridge . The pristine white bridge stretches straight toward the sea , with a candy-green pavilion at the front , creating a lovely setting for couples watching the sunset . At low tide , the sea water transitions from green to blue in beautiful gradient hues , perfect for picturesque shots .

Want to witness the spectacular sight of the sea splitting? You’ll need to time it just right. During low tide, a path emerges, allowing you to walk out to Chi Islet and enjoy the thrill of walking on waves and stepping along the basalt gravel pathway. When the tide comes in, the path gets submerged and becomes inaccessible.

Mail a letter from the bottom of the sea in Penghu. At a depth of six meters off the coast near Suogang, Magong City, there's an underwater mailbox filled with artistic installations and coral reef conservation elements. Visitors can dive down, explore the underwater world while sending mail, and enjoy the fun of snorkeling.
