Flower Expo December Art & Culture Events: Taitung County and Penghu County Take Turns to Shine

The Flower Expo is about to celebrate its one-month anniversary. From November 29 to December 5 is Taitung County’s event week, and from December 6 to December 12 is Penghu County’s event week, both featuring high-caliber musical and dance performances. Local residents can purchase Flower Expo tickets at half price by presenting relevant identification.

The “Happy Caterpillar Parade” is held twice daily and is extremely popular.

During Taitung County’s event week, from 17:00 to 20:00 every day, performers such as Taitung singers Pan Qianshu, Pan Yinxing, Hei Niu, and A Xin will stage live performances at the “Flower Dream Plaza” in the Xinxing Park area. Meanwhile, Penghu County has set up the “3R Time Capsule Landscape Exhibition Area” in the competition zone of the Dajia Riverside Park, showcasing the unique landscape of Penghu’s Green Bay Cactus Park in a time capsule display for Flower Expo visitors.

Starting December 1, the beloved “Herb Baby” at the Dancing Butterfly Pavilion will meet visitors at two new times: 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. The “Happy Caterpillar Parade” in the Dajia Riverside Park area will also adjust its schedule starting December 2, now performing twice daily at 11:10 AM and 3:00 PM.

Mobile Dome.

For performances, on December 4 at 10:00 and 10:30, the Thai Northern Marching Band will perform on the Carnival Boulevard in the Dajia Riverside Park area. On December 5 at 10:00 and 10:30, the Jing Women’s Flag Team will perform at the Welcome Hall in the Arts Park area. From December 6 to 9 at 11:00, 14:00, and 16:00, the “Shensheng Theater – No Instrument Unbeaten” will present exciting shows at the Dream Garden in the Xinxing Park area, turning everyday items like frying pans, buckets, tin cans, and bottles into percussion instruments for a fun-filled musical experience. On the weekends of December 4 and 5 at 14:00 and 19:00, the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra will perform a selection of Disney movie tunes at the Mobile Dome in the Dajia Riverside Park area. On December 10, Eighty-Eight Guava Seeds will perform, and on December 12, Yan Weiling & Taohuayuan Band will take the stage. Additionally, at the Welcome Hall in the Arts Park area: on December 8, Wen Jinlong’s Ink Band will perform, and on December 10, Kao Qiuqin Band will play. Visitors are encouraged to attend these events.
