The Eight Immortals Island Ecological Leisure Area is located southeast of Liumang Town’s urban area, just 10 kilometers from downtown Wuhu. It lies adjacent to the Wuhu-Xuancheng Expressway, the Wuhu-Tunxi Expressway, and the Wuhu-Taiping Secondary Road, only 8 kilometers from the entrance of the Wuhu-Xuancheng Expressway, offering highly convenient transportation links to major cities such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Hefei.

The lake area spans over 1,500 acres and features eight small islands of varying sizes and landscapes. The larger islands cover more than 300 acres, while the smaller ones span over ten acres, resembling eight shining pearls embedded in the water. The lake winds around them, at times deep and serene, at others broad and open. The lake is enhanced by the presence of the islands, and the islands gain charm from the lake. The legend of the Eight Immortals lends an ancient allure. The air here is fresh and tranquil, the ecological environment well-preserved, providing a classic Jiangnan-style rural idyll. The waters are crystal clear, dotted with reeds, swaying lotus flowers, clusters of red water chestnuts, and fish swimming close to the bottom. Waterfowl play among the plants, boats part the lotus and water chestnut beds, and the scenery shifts gently as you move along. A light breeze brushes your face, creating rippling waves. The wind carries the scent of earth, intoxicating and serene. The islands are lush with green trees, alive with birdsong, and covered in blooming flowers that delight the eye. Startled egrets take flight in flocks, circling above and lingering for long moments, as if in a celestial paradise. Here, every step brings a new scene, and the pleasure of exploring makes one forget to leave.

The surrounding area features interconnected streams and rivers, vast fertile fields, and scattered villages, all contributing to an unspoiled blend of natural and pastoral scenery. The local farmhouse snacks are renowned, and the area is known far and wide as a specialized food processing village. Its baked cakes and zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) are popular in nearby cities. The variety of aquatic products is also impressive, with high-quality fish, shrimp, turtles, and crabs enjoying fame across the region, attracting numerous 4A-level and above scenic spots to purchase in bulk.
