The Changzhou Children's Natural History Museum is a science education base.

The Changzhou Children's Natural History Museum is a branch of the Changzhou Museum. Its preparation began in 1986, and it was officially inaugurated in December 1995. In 1997, it was designated as a "Municipal Science Education Base" by the Propaganda Department of the Changzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal Association for Science and Technology. In 1998, it was among the first to be listed as a "Jiangsu Provincial Science Education Base" and a "Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Demonstration Base." It is also the only children's natural history museum in Jiangsu Province.

The museum houses a collection of over 2,000 types and more than 4,000 natural specimens, including 103 types and 180 pieces of national first- and second-class protected wildlife and plant specimens, as well as over 200 types and 300 pieces of precious fossils and rare foreign species specimens. It features four major series of exhibits: fur-bearing animals, seashells, high-quality insects from China and abroad, and regional Chinese herbal medicine specimens. Over the years, the museum has continuously presented influential large-scale permanent and temporary science exhibitions for the public, receiving over 1 million visitors in total and making a positive contribution to the development of science education in Changzhou. "The Wonders of Nature, Our Beautiful Home – Natural Resources Exhibition" is a special exhibition created by the Changzhou Children's Natural History Museum for the opening of its new venue. The exhibition hall is located on the third floor of the museum, covering an area of over 1,000 square meters. The content is divided into four sections based on different thematic displays. Through scientific design and modern display methods, various static natural specimens are perfectly integrated with their environments, and multiple interactive features have been added, making the entire exhibition hall vibrant and engaging. Since its opening on April 28, 2007, it has attracted a continuous stream of visitors daily. Especially during holidays, it has truly become a classroom for young people to explore and learn, as well as a recreational haven for the general public.
