New Taipei City to Add 7 New YouBike Stations in Sanchong, Xinzhuang, Shulin, and Tucheng on the 25th

New Taipei CityYouBikeSystem to Launch at 6:00 a.m. on August 25Seven new stations: the intersection of Longmen and Longbin Roads in Sanchong District, Yongfu Elementary School, Litali in Xinzhuang District (Section 2, Zhonghuan Road), Shulin High School in Shulin District, Pengfu Elementary School, Shulin District Health Center, and Yuancun Community Park in Tucheng DistrictThe city will then have a total of 185 stations and 4,725 public bicycles, allowing more residents to enjoy the charm of YouBike.

Since the beginning of the year, the number of YouBike stations in New Taipei City has increased from 60 to 185, with services now available in 12 administrative districts including Xizhi, Xindian, Sanchong, Luzhou, Xinzhuang, Taishan, Zhonghe, Yonghe, Banqiao, Tucheng, Shulin, and Yingge. Daily bike usage has risen from 5,800 rides to 30,000 rides, with cumulative usage exceeding 4.7 million rides. The Transportation Bureau stated that, considering operations and dispatch efficiency, the YouBike expansion is progressing gradually from districts near Taipei City toward the outer areas. Currently, construction in Tamsui District is ongoing, while Wugu, Linkou, and Sanxia are also expected to begin construction starting in September.

The public is reminded that the YouBike system will undergo maintenance and updates from midnight to 6:00 a.m. on August 25, 2015. During this period, all YouBike rental stations in both New Taipei City and Taipei City will only support bike returns, with no bike rentals available. Please take note.

Sanchong District
Intersection of Longmen and Longbin Roads (Longmen Road / Longbin Road intersection, with 38 parking spaces)
Yongfu Elementary School (located at Yongfu Street / Xiazhuzhai Street, with 36 parking spaces)

Xinzhuang District
Litali (Section 2, Zhonghuan Road) (located under the bridge opposite No. 421, Section 2, Zhonghuan Road, with 40 parking spaces)

Shulin District
Shulin High School (located at the intersection of Zhonghua Road / Shuzhong Second Street, with 40 parking spaces)
Pengfu Elementary School (located opposite No. 130, Guokai Street, with 40 parking spaces)
Shulin District Health Center (located opposite the motorcycle parking area at No. 80-1, Section 2, Zhongshan Road, with 38 parking spaces)

Tucheng District
Yuancun Community Park (located opposite No. 12 Lane, Yuancun Street, with 42 parking spaces)
