Every year from January to March is the romantic season of fluttering cherry blossoms. Strolling through the pink petals falling like rain gives you the feeling of being in an idol drama scene. The Attractions Home has compiled a list of must-visit cherry blossom spots in New Taipei’s cherry blossom season, scattered across various districts of New Taipei City, with over a hundred thousand cherry trees blooming in succession. Among them, the Taiwan Mountain Cherry, once voted as the city tree of New Taipei, takes the stage first in January and February, followed by the blooming of the double-petal Yaezakura, and finally the show-stopping Somei Yoshino cherries, with their overlapping snow-white and pink blossoms, herald the arrival of spring.
Tamsui Tianyuan Temple is a highly popular cherry blossom destination in northern Taiwan, where you can admire the Taiwan Mountain Cherry.
