Vietjet Air has been ranked first in the "2014 Most Aspired-to Travel Service Industry Company by Vietnamese People." This ranking is conducted and analyzed annually by Anphabe, a well-known Vietnamese career networking platform, and Nielsen, a globally renowned market research company. Other companies in the top ten of Vietnam’s travel service industry include KFC, InterContinental Asiana, New World Saigon Hotel, Lotteria, Pizza Hut, Viettravel, and McDonald's.
March 12th is Arbor Day！Taiwan Railways sells “Tree Baby Vegetarian Bento”
In support of the Forestry Bureau’s “Afforestation and Caring for Taiwan” campaign, Taiwan Railways Administration, starting from Arbor Day on March 12th, has jointly launched the “Tree Baby Vegetarian Bento” through Taipei Railway Restaurant, Taichung Railway Restaurant, and Kaohsiung Railway Restaurant. Each bento is priced at NT$80.

During the New Year’s holiday, Old K stayed in Taipei to rest, but still ended up eating quite a few meals there ^_^L. The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced on the 10th that next year's "2016 Taiwan Lantern Festival" has been officially approved by the Executive Yuan to be hosted by Taoyuan City. It is expected to be held at the square in front of Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station, Qingshuitang Park, and the surrounding areas of the Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium. A total of three city and county governments — Taoyuan City, Pingtung County, and Hualien County — competed to host the "2016 Taiwan Lantern Festival."

Fly to Japan on a budget airline to enjoy cherry blossoms! Taiwan’s Tigerair will operate daily flights from Taoyuan to Tokyo in April.
Following Singapore, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Macau, Taiwan’s Tigerair has confirmed its fifth new destination—and one of high interest among Taiwanese travelers—Tokyo, set to launch in early April. On the morning of the 10th, Tigerair verified that its Japan-bound flights are currently under final review by the relevant authorities, with a result expected shortly. “Yes, we plan to launch flights in early April, with morning departures and afternoon returns. Ticket prices are still under internal discussion, and the sale start date will be announced once approved by Japanese authorities.”

Anticipating the crowd and business opportunities generated by the Nangang Exhibition Center, Han She Hospitality, following the success of its Western-style buffet restaurant Han She Le Chu, has officially launched “Han She Le Le Xuan” on March 11. Keep some money on you — Kansai Airport to open “Japan’s largest duty-free UNIQLO”!

Emirates launches new route: Dubai–<Location> flights from June 3
Focusing on the growth potential of the Asian travel market, Emirates will launch its Dubai–<Location> route on June 3, 2015, making <Location> the airline’s 48th destination globally and its 23rd in 13 countries across the Asia-Pacific region. Emirates will operate direct flights between Dubai and <Location> using the Boeing B777-300ER aircraft. Flight EK398 departs Dubai daily at 8:20 AM local time and arrives in <Location> at 9:40 PM local time the same day. Flight EK399 leaves <Location> at 11:40 PM and arrives at Dubai Airport at 5:00 AM local time the next day.

Taipei City’s YouBike announced on the 11th that it would cancel the free first 30 minutes benefit and instead charge NT$5 for the first half hour. The New Taipei City Department of Transportation stated that it will not follow this move for now.
