An exquisite experience with fine chocolate — a handmade French patisserie by Chef Zheng Ulxuan!

Last updated 2026-09-26 — I’ve been following Chef Zheng Ulxuan’s blog since five or six years ago. I can’t even remember how I found his blog back then — maybe it was just some silly reason like wanting my boyfriend to buy me high-end chocolate. It was through his articles that I first learned about the Valrhona brand and realized the world of chocolate isn’t limited to Godiva. The world of fine chocolate is far more profound than we imagine.

I’ve been following Chef Zheng Ulxuan’s blog since five or six years ago.

A little fan’s long-awaited dream finally comes true as Chef Ulxuan opens his own shop. This is his first store after returning from studying patisserie in France, located near Ren’ai Circle.

The current selection of items is still limited, but more will be added gradually.

The tableware is from the Portuguese brand Cuptipol. Its elegant curves make it comfortable to hold and easy to cut with.

French Hot Chocolate — NT$200
This hot chocolate is not made from cocoa powder but uses single-origin chocolate and fresh milk from a single farm. After you order, Chef Ulxuan prepares it on the spot and pours it directly from the pot into your cup.

Lemon Tart — NT$140
The lemon filling is perfectly balanced — not too sour, not too sweet. You can taste the fresh aroma of lemon as soon as it melts in your mouth.

Chocolate Tart — NT$160
This chocolate tart is made with Manjari, a single-origin chocolate from Madagascar. It has a distinct fruity acidity, evoking the wild and natural vibe of running across the grasslands. Compared to some bitter-sweet chocolate tarts, I personally prefer those with fruity acidity — whether in chocolate or coffee beans — so this tart really suits my taste.
