Vietjet recently announced a partnership with the well-known Korean fast-food brand Lotteria Vietnam to provide in-flight meal services for passengers. In addition to the existing nine in-flight meal options on Vietjet's domestic and international flights, meals featuring Lotteria’s signature offerings will be added, with plans to introduce them on Taipei-Ho Chi Minh City routes in the future.

A piece of fish and a leaf sit inside a glass candy jar—what kind of dish is this? On the 17th, the Astoria Group held a media spring banquet, inviting Chef Yang Guangzong from Tian Xiang Lou and Chef Clément Pellerin from Paris 1930 to compete in a PK show. With “fish” as the main ingredient, they faced off between Hangzhou cuisine and French cuisine. This “canned fish dish” was created by Paris 1930’s new head chef, Clément.

I happened to be riding my bike around the area near Zhongshan Junior High School Station in the afternoon. I passed by this golden wheat noodle shop, which proudly advertised “handmade noodles.” Though I wasn’t very hungry, I suddenly had the urge to have a bowl. Even though I wasn’t starving, noodles are usually considered a light meal for me, so I decided to go for a large one. What’s special here is that besides intestines and oysters, they also offer diced meat as an option. Might as well go for the combo then. A large bowl costs 60 NT$, which is about average — neither too expensive nor too cheap. Payment is made upfront. There are seats under the arcade, and also some inside the alley.

The Maritime and Port Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications currently manages 35 lighthouses. Among them, those already open to the public include the Sandiao Cape Lighthouse in New Taipei City, Kaohsiung, Eluanbi, Yiweng Island, Dongyin, Dongju Islet, the Guanyin Bisha Cape Lighthouse in Taoyuan County, the Green Island Lighthouse, and the Gaomei Lighthouse in Taichung. To promote the beauty of lighthouses and develop new travel routes in Taiwan, the bureau plans to open two more lighthouses this year: the “Fugui Cape Lighthouse” in New Taipei City and the “Qimei Islet Lighthouse” in Penghu.

Ms. Srisuda Wanapinyosak, Director of the Eastern Asia Region at the Tourism Authority of Thailand, led a delegation of 43 local operators—including travel agencies, resorts, cruise lines, and golf courses from Bangkok, Pattaya, Koh Samui, Phuket, and Krabi—to visit Taiwan today (18th). Regarding the issue of visa exemption or fee waivers, which are of greatest concern to Taiwanese travelers, Ms. Srisuda stated: "There are no current plans."
