If you’ve missed this year’s Yangmingshan Flower Festival, don’t miss the upcoming “2015 Zhushan Lake Calla Lily Season”! Kicking off on the 20th, visitors can not only stroll into the white-and-green calla lily fields to pick their own flowers, but this year’s event also takes inspiration from *Alice in Wonderland*, inviting everyone to dreamwalk through Zhushan Lake together.

According to Taipei City’s Department of Economic Development, each year’s Calla Lily Season features a different theme. Given Zhushan Lake’s misty, fairy-tale-like atmosphere, this year’s event draws inspiration from the characters and scenes of *Alice in Wonderland*. Not only has the entrance parking lot been transformed into a carnival inspired by the story, but 11 themed installations—including the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, and card soldiers—have been placed throughout the flower fields to create diverse, whimsical moods and enhance the storytelling experience.

Additionally, during the Calla Lily Season, the department organizes two guided eco-cultural tours each weekend (morning and afternoon). Visitors can gather at the Zhushan Lake entrance parking lot and, accompanied by guides, explore historic sites such as the Meihuo Research Office preserved from the Japanese colonial era, the Gao Family Ancestral Hall, the Shuiche Liao Trail, the Cedar Plantation, and Dinghu.
