Banshan Pavilion on Meiling

Located midway along the southern slope of Meiling in Nanxiong, between the "Laiyan Pavilion" and the Meiguan Ancient Pass, there is a rest pavilion named "Banshan Pavilion." It offers travelers a place to take a break. In front of the pavilion is a poetry stele corridor featuring Marshal Chen Yi’s "Three Poems of Meiling," while behind it lies a grove of red plum blossoms, creating a beautiful and culturally rich environment. Inside the pavilion, there is a hundred-character couplet carved in stone, written by Song Xiang, a native of Meizhou, Guangdong, and renowned as the "Number One Talent of Lingnan" during the Qing Dynasty.

Transportation

By car: Starting from Shaoguan, enter the Shaoguan–Ganzhou Expressway, exit at Meiguan Ancient Road, and then turn onto National Highway G323. Drive straight along G323 and look for the sign on the right indicating the "Meiguan Ancient Road Scenic Area Parking Lot."

By public transport: Take a direct bus from the square of Shaoguan East Railway Station to Nanxiong City Bus Terminal, then transfer to a local bus heading to Meiguan Ancient Road.
