Online Battle Results: Top 10 Must-Try Ice Treats in Kaohsiung — From Soft Serve to Shaved Ice

On a scorching summer day, nothing beats a refreshing ice treat. The Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau held the “Kaohsiung Top 10 Ice Treats Online Voting Campaign.” After nearly a month of intense online voting and close to 100,000 votes, the list of the top 10 winning ice treats has been announced. The selection includes various types of ice treats such as ice cream, soft serve, shaved ice, snowflake ice, and slushies. Visitors to Kaohsiung may want to check them out.

The “Kaohsiung Top 10 Ice Treats Online Voting Campaign” ran from July 20 to August 16. Over the course of the 28-day voting period, competition was fierce. In addition to the original 30 ice shops recommended by bloggers, 12 more ice treat businesses joined the online PK event and advanced to the finals, making a total of 42 ice shops competing. Eventually, through online voting, the top 10 ice treat shops and their signature ice treats in Kaohsiung were selected.

Each ice shop had its own fan base, and the online voting process was extremely lively. All participating shops pulled out all the stops — running promotions, mobilizing loyal customers and fans, and more. In the end, “Crown Ice City” won gloriously with the highest number of votes: 13,019. Other winners included Zhizhi Ice City, Sanxingyuan Matcha 'Japanese Tea’s Specialty Store', Qianglengzhong Lenghuo?, Ke Dou Dou, Sao Du Zai, 6P Shaved Ice, SCE+ Eis+ Ice House, Deer Grassland Deer Patch Ice Shop, Dongmen Teahouse, and That Era Almond Tofu Ice.
All these shops were awarded top honors.
