Located 58 kilometers east of Nanxiong City in Guangdong Province, Pingtian Town is a well-known “Home of Ginkgo Trees” in northern Guangdong. The area currently has over 5,000 ancient ginkgo trees aged over a hundred years, producing hundreds of tons of ginkgo nuts annually. Every golden autumn, the leaves of ancient ginkgo trees in areas such as Aobei, Jingtong, Jiangtang, Wantang, and Junyingzhai within Pingtian Town turn yellow and fall, covering the ground in gold, attracting numerous photography enthusiasts, artists, and writers from both within and outside the province to come and create. “Ginkgo-Tinted Autumn” has become an important tourism and sightseeing attraction in Nanxiong during the autumn and winter seasons.
