Fengwu Village, Nanxiong

Fengwu Village in Nanxiong is located in Pingtian Town, Nanxiong City — an area renowned as the “Hometown of Ginkgo.” It is a typical remote and impoverished mountainous region. The ginkgo trees in Fengwu are scattered across the hillsides and throughout the village, many of them quite large. The ancient ancestral halls are dilapidated and worn, but the horse-head walls still hint at the former glory of the place.

Transportation: Fengwu Village is 8 kilometers from Laopingtian Village. A cement road leading to every village reaches straight into the village, making external access relatively convenient. However, transportation within the village is less convenient — the roads are narrow, and during peak times, there’s often no space to park and traffic can easily get congested. As a result, most visitors park at the fork on the main road outside the village and then walk or take a motorcycle into the village.
