Tomb of Kong Run

The Tomb of Kong Run is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tomb of Kong Run is located on Yangjiao Ridge, Lan Village, Youshan Township, Nanxiong City. The tomb faces south and is built against the mountain in a semicircular shape, constructed with sandstone slabs. It stands 1.7 meters high and 1.6 meters wide. The tombstone was re-erected by later generations, measuring 80 cm in height and 40 cm in width, inscribed with the three large characters “Tomb of the Kong Family.” Kong Run (874–964), courtesy name Huaiqing, was a native of Nanxiong. According to the Kong Family Genealogy of Nanxiong and the Annals of Nanxiong Prefecture, he was the 41st-generation descendant of Confucius and served as a Court Gentleman (Chaosan Daifu) during the Five Dynasties period under the Southern Han Kingdom.
