The Red Army slogans in Haotou Village, Meiguan are a Nanxiong Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.
The Red Army slogans in Haotou Village, Meiguan are preserved on the outer wall of Lai Zhaokun’s residence in Xiaomeiguan, Haotou Village, Nanxiong. Measuring 6 meters in length, the characters are 50×50 cm square. According to local elders, these slogans were written by Red Army soldiers on the eve of the “Shuikou Battle” in the summer of 1932.
The content reads:
The Red Army is the army of workers and peasants
The Red Army (proclaims)!
In 1982, the Nanxiong County People’s Government designated it as a cultural relics protection unit.
