Xitou Pagoda

Xitou Pagoda is a Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Xitou Pagoda, also known as Niangniang Pagoda or Sisters Pagoda, is located in Xitou Old Village, Baishun, Nanxiong City, Shaoguan.

Xitou Pagoda was built during the Song Dynasty. Originally a pair of pagodas, only one remains today. Xitou Pagoda is a hexagonal, five-story brick tower in the pavilion style. Its finial has been destroyed, and the remaining structure stands approximately 18 meters tall, though some sources say 14 meters.

In 1997, Nanxiong Xitou Pagoda was listed as a cultural relics protection unit of Nanxiong City. In 2012, it was designated as a Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the People's Government of Guangdong Province.

Xitou Village: Xitou Village comprises 12 natural villages, with 257 households and a population of 1,062. The village has 5 village cadres and 35 Party members. The cultivated land area spans 1,432 mu, including 1,066 mu of paddy fields and 366 mu of dry fields. The forested area covers 37,600 mu, of which 23,490 mu are allocated responsibility hills and 14,110 mu are ecological conservation forests.
