Guanyin Pavilion

Guanyin Pavilion is located next to the Penghu Youth Activity Center. Established in the 35th year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty, it is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, Guanyin. The pavilion features a simple and classic design. It was damaged during the Sino-French War but was rebuilt in the 17th year of the Guangxu reign, and has remained standing to this day. Although its current appearance is somewhat less grand than its original state, it still retains an aura of solemnity and elegance, and remains a sacred Buddhist site in Penghu.
